Laparascopy Practical Workshop

The first of these courses will be held at St Vincent’s Hospital Learning and Education Centre on Tuesday 30th March at 5:45pm, free of charge.

The number of attendees will be limited to 18 people, with 2 people per lap trainer box.

This program has been sponsored by Applied Medical and BBraun with sophisticated exercise models designed to simulate appendicectomy, cholecystectomy and bowel anastomosis (as opposed to rearranging rings and stacking boxes!)

5:45 - Open – Dinner provided 

6:00 - 6:10 Welcome + an introduction to laparoscopy (N Winter)

6:10 - 6:40 First Session (30min)

6:40 - 6:50 Mid session discussion 

6:50 - 7:20 Second Session (30min)

7:20 - 7:30 Lap Course Competition – The Tofu Tournament

7:30 - Session Concludes

This event will be supervised by Nicole Winter and Michael Hii plus support from the Academy of Surgeons.
